A New Corps Justice Novel Cometh...

9/19/2014

Lethal Misconduct

Picture
First, a big thanks to everyone who's purchased a copy of Lethal Misconduct this month. It's doing fantastic on Amazon. That would not have happened without you. If you don't have a copy yet, or haven't had a chance to leave a review, here's the link: http://amzn.to/1yjB9e0.

Moral Imperative

Picture
The Novels Live team and I have been hard at work on Moral Imperative. The first draft will be done by next Friday, the 26th. Expect the novel to be published right around the middle of October. It's been a lot of fun, and I think you're really going to like it. ISIS beware...

Reviews

Thanks to everyone who spent the time to leave a review for one of my books. You don't know how much they mean to me and they really help the series grow.

End of The Year Plans

Picture
I can't believe it's almost October. 2015 is right around the corner. But don't worry, that doesn't mean I'll be sitting around drinking Famous Grouse and eating bonbons. Disavowed will be the final novel published in 2014. Help kick me in the ass so I can get it out before Christmas.

Next Year

Due to the continued success of the Corps Justice series, I am fully committed to bringing you as many new novels as you can handle. That means next year is going to be busy. I'm planning eight to ten new novels in 2015 alone.

Ambitious? Yes.
Doable? Totally.

I'd love to know what else you'd like to see from Cal and the gang. What things are happening in the world that you want to see resolved? Feel free to let me know via email or in the COMMENTS section of this post.

Thanks again for everything, and have a fantastic weekend.

Semper Fidelis,

Mr. Cooper, you're doing a kick ass & taking names on all of your novels & novellas! I don't have any complaints, except that I want more! I'm a greedy bastard when it comes to your books, and I want more! No pressure... :)

Looking forward to Disavowed.
I've been trying to figure out what it is about your writing that grabs me. The character development is good but there are writers who do it better. The action is always top notch but when it comes to feeling like I'm actually in the middle of a firefight, the Vietnam era stories of R.H. Pyle are enough to make you sweat blood and duck while you're reading (read "Gunny" or "Bullets and Bandages").

I mean no disrespect but you are not top of the field in any one given category but overall the whole is greater than the sum of the parts and your stories are great! I think part of it is that you are not what this world considers politically correct and you will never be mistaken for a lib. Add that to your overall writing style and the end results are stories that grab me and won't let me put them down until I'm finished... then I'm immediately looking for more.

Trust me, no offense taken. I could rattle of a slew of writer that are better than me. W.E.B. Griffin and Vince Flynn being at the top of that list. Luckily I'll never stop until I reach that level AND I have people like you to keep my ego in check :)

All your comments are much appreciated.

Hi there, CG:

From my jaundiced point of view, I think you are up there with Brad Thor, Vince Flynn, and many others already. Certainly your writing flows as easily as Lee Child.

Strictly from my own point of view, a good writer is one who, when I read their works, feels as if they are in the same room, telling me the story.

Many years ago, I took the speed reading course that JFK espoused, and developed the ability to read 1,900 words a minute. Not as fast as many, but 4 times faster than I had been reading.

And the problem with that is I race through stuff, often faster than I'd like. So the better the writer, the faster I can go, all the while trying to put the brakes on.

That's why doing this proofing, chapter by chapter, is a blessing in disguise. I have to read it slowly to find the nits I pick, and only get a chapter or two at a time.

I will read the entire novel when it is released, and probably race through it. But that is with the knowledge that - unlike too many electronic novels - the grammar and punctuation will not bring me up short. And that is thanks to the people you have recruited to help you put together the best work possible.

And again, for that and all the other positive things I have mentioned, I thank you, Carlos!

Semper Fidelis - Semper Gumby <BG>!

Cheers!

I love the Corps Justice Series and look forward to seeing what Cal and his friends and troops will be up to next. I have read all of the books and I do alot of reading. I would highly recommend these books to anyone who wants to read action/adventure books, with a little bit of romance thrown in!!
