So far no twists and turns. But I'm sure this is the lull before the storm.

New People and Country. This is starting to look like an interesting book.

First off, love the book cover. Promises nonstop action - your designer is superb.
Second, great start. There is much talk about how classified his work is and then a grant gets thrown in - seemed out of place. Like what grant? That may be your intent - in drawing us in.
Third, do you ever get tired? Your mind is a never-ending circus ride, eh? Must make dinner conversations fun?! Ever get caught in a conversation with others and find a new storyline???
Wonderbar!

Hmmm...Iranian or Russian or....? At first l wondered if these guys could be from the Jefferson group. But no, not with the green eyes. Anyway, l am hoping Cal is getting his head on straight and the JG is ready to ride. I am SO looking forward to this book!

Nothing like jumping right in the black void? Makes you want to guess who and what and when all at the same time. Real life example of how everything is twisting and turning preventing the main character from seeing a way out? Great question Carlos as to how these three characters know everything about the Doctor and the reader does not ? Right now most readers are praying that the
three mystery men intend no harm? Just curious why three guys
surely one could scoop up the Doctor and take him away? Keep the
good stuff coming from all directions?

Great opening chapter. Looking forward to your twists and turns. Also looking forward to getting TJG back to work. Hope Cal has gotten his mind back on the job.

Carlos, as usual I'm the last to read... Agree with most of the comments. Amazing start. Book opens quickly with just enough suspense to keep the new reader to your works ( or a reader familiar with your books) wanting more. Someone willing to buy the book based on the amazing cover and first few pages. Good job. I'd buy it.

I am completely stressed n my personal life, my wife has stage 3 Parkinson's and I can't work because I am a 24/7caregiver. My time out relaxation is a few minutes with the Zimmer.
So I
Read chapter 1 and later that night reviewed my book bub books on my kindle. Said I to me I started a book that was super interesting, took place n Israel and had a civilian Dr and a colonel in it. Spent the rest of the nighttime in between taking care f my wife combing book title s by author, by purchase, by opening line nada. Getting more frustrated I called Amazon kindle help line. Nary a clue. At this point I am questioning my sanity, am I getting dementia, etc. I finally give up. Then today a reader drops Dr. Haha. Omg. I have not lost my mind. Nice job Carlos😇😀😃😊

Good start. We know something is happening but don't know what, who, or why. That leaves us wanting to know the answers.

Great book cover. Somehow it invites me to read the book.
