In this episode of Books in 30, C.G. Cooper interviews horror/sci-fi/fantasy writer, Zach Bohannon. Zach started in a creative world, writing music for metal bands. However, he found an even greater love for writing fiction. Today, Zach’s love for science fiction and horror overflows from his books into his reading habits as he discusses his favorite sci-fi and horror books in today’s episode. To top it off, Zach reads some quirky reviews including New Orleans and toothpaste that could possibly fall into the horror genre.
"Ignore things you can’t control, and keep trucking on."
"I have a very creative background. I spent most of my early twenties playing in heavy metal bands."
"Anyone out there with audiobooks, you know what makes it different is the narrator creates an experience for you."
"Anyone out there who hasn’t read the Dark Tower series, and you want to do it, two pieces of advice. One, don’t watch the movie; it’s terrible. [...] Second, the first book is really weird."
"I would really like to write some historical fiction. I’m a really big World War II fan, so it would be really cool to write some historical fiction."
