Summer has hit the Cooper household. The kids are done with school and I'm digging in for pool time. I just wanted to take a second to give you a heads-up on a couple of things, and tell you about some new stuff based on reader ideas: Papal JusticeAfter taking a breather this week, on Monday I start my first read through. If you're on Beta team 1 or 2, stay tuned. I'm planning on getting the final version published by June 20th. FallenAlong with going through Papal Justice, Monday is also the day I start writing Fallen, the new Daniel Briggs novel. No rest for the Novels Live crew!!! Check out the new cover that I got this morning. FREE Semper Fi CardsI've always wanted a way to say hello to Marines when I see their USMC decals on cars, motorcycles, airplanes and tanks. Thanks to an anonymous reader's idea, we now have a way to do that. You guys are the first to see our new Semper Fi cards. Now we can spread the Corps Justice love in a cool way. I'll mail ten to anyone if they provide their mailing address HERE. Be the first to order yours. New DecalsYou guys asked, and someone with better design skills than me delivered. We have two new Corps Justice decals available for the rock bottom price of $1.99 each (includes shipping). Get them HERE. Summer WritingAfter wrapping up Fallen in June, I'm going to take a couple months to hang with the kids. But don't worry, my plan is to write 2 to 4 new short stories during July and August. I have Chosen, Willy Trent's story, ready to go. Let me know what other short stories you'd like to see. Can't wait to hear your ideas.

I'd like to see a story about Cal's dad and how it all got started from his time in the service to starting Stokes Security and to present, just a thought.

Mark that is an awesome idea! Sometimes you really need to take it back to the very beginning to understand where it is now.

I second that. Another interesting one would incorporate SSI because Neil was one of first recruits. So, 1) Neil and 2) parents showing marine life and effect on family. In Godspeed you touched on marine wife being important keeping morale of family and backbone of family. My spouse's father was military and his mom tried to keep balance of unconditional love, military strictness - as two CAN compete and cause children mixed messages. That and all the moving, army base life. My brother and sister-in- laws traveled in Europe during WWII but wondered why Dad's life sometimes overshadowed their need to have friends - they did not enlist after all - now they wish they had truly taken in the opportunities.

I used the link to order the cards. Thanks, that's a great idea to leave them on vehicles displaying the USMC decals.

I would love to have a book about Diane. We know a little of her back story and we all know she is made of strong stuff, but I would like to know details of what she's gone through, etc.

Wow, some great story ideas here. I'd also like to know more about Neil. It might be time on the next TJG adventure to start looking for a good combat medic to join the crew too. Have a wonderful weekend off with your terrific family and, if you're so inclined, remember that Monday is Memorial Day. If you don't get driven to work before Tuesday, we won't complain, really. When you do start your read over, please check your dates starting in about Chapter 4. Just couldn't wait for beta time - sorry. Seriously, get some rest, you've so earned it. Time with the little people is so precious, Mary is so right - they all grow up too fast.

Having lost one child to SIDS and another to USMC PTSD I totally concur, I am 70 and it seems like yesterday the kids were on my hip and on my shoulders. It goes in the blink of an eye.

Richard, my condolences. I can't imagine losing a child (at any age) and it has to be a parent's worst nightmare. Hope you have a safe and enjoyable holiday surrounded by loved ones. Judy

I really like the new cover for Fallen and I'm looking forward to learning more about Daniel and his journey through life to get to TJG. I like the idea of the cards and I look forward to leaving them around to hopefully add to the reader populations or Corps Justice. The new decals and shirts look good and I'll be placing an order when we are done with this PCS and have a new address.

Excellent cover for Fallen. Chosen cover is good too but if that's Trent the guy needs to be MUCH bigger.

I have thoroughly enjoyed this experience and look forward to your next book. As for thoughts and suggestions, I do have a few. While I was disappointed with Travis's death, I felt it was telegraphed when the president released him to meet up with the TJG. I empathize with Cal's feelings of loss and abandonment. I have to believe that he will work through the grief process, but he needs to be able to lean on someone who will nurture as well as help him to find his way through the labyrinth of emotions. Diane possibly? Daniel would certainly empathize but not nurture. I see the president looking to TJG to replace Travis. Maybe Cal would be interested in the job until a suitable candidate could be found. That way, he could continue his relationship with Diane and still be remotely involved in whatever assignment the team is working on. You have your work cut out for you, Cal, but I think you are up to the job. I also think the pope could play a significant part in healing Cal. Enjoy your weekend, and I look forward to reading the coming novels and working with you again.

Jack Noble AND Cal Stokes...in the same box set!!! Wow! Folks, I hope you know that I absolutely love the novels by our Mr. Cooper. One can count on Cooper's books to ALWAYS entertain! Although L.T. Ryan 's hero, Jack Noble, is quite a bit different from our Cal, he makes an interesting read. I suggest you try Noble Intentions.
